Something to say about the Creekside galleries in Deptford...

This space has an interesting location - old factories and workshops which are rebuild into the space for art exhibitions/events. Artists from England have a great possibility to show their artworks here,in such a calm and old-fashioned place.
As for the exhibition that is now exposed - there are a few prominent pieces which have really vibrant colours and clear shape. Large sized paintings were really impressive and stunning, I could imagine the narrative, the sense, the voice of the artist. Sculptures had very specific look, but I guess there was a very deep meaning of what you saw and what it was.
In general, everything was quite interesting, but I honestly think that all artists nowadays are just doing the same art: a little bit of mess or abstraction on the picture, ridiculous sculptures out of everything they've found at home and of course, psycho things like a video on the tv on the wall or projection. You can see this stuff in every gallery with contemporary art exhibitions. It's kind of a fashion to do art in that style. Boring.
I'll better go and imagine something new.
